Hot stone massage
Our hot stone massage treatments combine several massage techniques with the use of warm stones, to give you the ultimate relaxing massage experience. Warm stones are used to gently heat the muscles for a massage treatment which promotes a much deeper sense of relaxation.
Stress and strain are soothed away with relaxing massage strokes using warm basalt stones. Our warm stone treatment allows you to enjoy the benefits of a deeper massage through the power of heat. Hot stone treatment can focus on the back, neck and shoulders, or an hour’s treatment can pamper your whole body.
Our treatments are uniquely tailored to you in order to promote your relaxation and enhance well-being.
Cool stone massage
Complementary cool stones can also be used to reduce inflammation, provide pain relief and encourage healing. Additionally, hot and cool stones can be used in combination to utilize the principles of contrast therapy.
Prior to starting your hot stone massage, we will ask for you to tell us about yourself and any specific issues that you’d like your treatment to focus on. We will also take a full medical history and ask you about your lifestyle so that your treatment can be truly holistic, effective and safe. Our thorough assessment ensures that you get the bespoke treatment that you desire. We may use a mixture of Swedish and remedial massage techniques, myofascial and soft tissue release, trigger points and stretching, in addition to our lovely warm basalt or cool marble stones. We will also give you advice at the end of your massage to make sure that you get the most out of your treatment.
